The best personal CRM for iPhone depends on one question you should answer first: do you want notes added to the contacts already on your phone, or a separate place for the people you meet? Apps like Starrise Contacts, Persodex and Dextr sit on top of Apple Contacts, which is great for people you already call and text. betterpal keeps its own private list, built for the many people you'd like to remember but would never save as a contact: the neighbor's new partner, a parent at school pickup, someone you met at a wedding. If your network lives on LinkedIn, Dex does more of the work for you.
We make betterpal, so weigh our section accordingly. We've tried to be fair about where the others are a better fit. For the wider field, including web and team tools, see the best personal CRM apps.

What to look for in an iPhone personal CRM
- Capture speed. The details you'll want later are freshest in the minute after a conversation. Look for an app that lets you save someone in a sentence, from a widget, the Action Button, or Siri, without filling in a form.
- Contacts layer or separate list. A Contacts-based app is the right fit if you mostly want richer notes on people already in your phone. A separate list is better if you want to remember people without adding their phone number to your address book.
- Where the data lives. You're writing down personal details about other people. On-device storage, with sync through your own iCloud, keeps those notes out of a third-party cloud.
- Subscription or one-time. Most personal CRMs are subscriptions. If you plan to use one for years, a lifetime option can cost less.
- Mac support. Handy if you like reviewing names before an event or tidying notes on a bigger screen.
1. betterpal — best for remembering people you meet in person
betterpal is a personal CRM for friends, family, and the people you meet, not a sales tool. Type or say one sentence, like "Sarah from the coffee shop, graphic designer, loves hiking", into Quick Entry and it picks out the name and the notes. Quick Capture saves someone from the Action Button, Back Tap, Siri, or a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget without opening the app.
From there you get dated notes, tags for events and places, relationships that build a network graph and family tree, a map, birthday and per-note reminders, and a recall quiz that helps names stick.
Privacy: no account, no analytics, and no betterpal servers. Your data stays on your iPhone, and the free Mac app syncs through a single file in your own iCloud Drive.
Pricing: free to start, with a limited number of pals. betterpal Pro removes the limit for $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year, or $39.99 once for a lifetime license.
Where others fit better: betterpal doesn't edit your Apple Contacts, so it isn't where you'd go to call or text someone. It has no Android app yet, and no LinkedIn or email sync.
2. Starrise Contacts — best low-cost layer on top of Apple Contacts
Starrise Contacts works directly with the contacts already on your iPhone, with no import and no account. It adds timestamped notes per contact, birthday and anniversary reminders, one-tap calls and messages, a map of contact addresses, widgets, and a Mac app. Pro adds keep-in-touch reminders, a business card scanner, AI note summaries, voice add, and iCloud sync of notes.
Pricing: free core features; Pro is $0.99 a month or $5.99 a year on the App Store, and one subscription covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Where it wins: low price, and everything happens in the address book you already use. Tradeoffs: it needs permission to access and edit your contacts, and anyone you want to remember has to be a contact first.
3. Persodex — best for an interaction journal on your contacts
Persodex also builds on Apple's Contacts rather than keeping a separate database. It adds a per-contact interaction journal, rich notes, tags, reminders, a map, a relationship network view, widgets, and on-device summaries using Apple Intelligence. Its site says data stays on your device and in your iCloud, and that a Mac app isn't available yet.
Pricing: we couldn't confirm current pricing from Persodex's own site, so check its App Store listing.
4. Dextr — best for cleaning up and managing a big address book
Dextr combines contacts, a personal CRM, and address book cleanup: archiving stale contacts, merging duplicates, and bulk deleting. It adds contact journals, stay-in-touch reminders, a business card scanner, defined relationships with a social graph, and individualized group texts. The developer says data stays on your devices, with backups to your own iCloud.
Pricing: free, with Pro at $2.99 a month or $14.99 a year on the App Store. Tradeoff: the current version requires iOS 26 or later.
5. Dex — best for LinkedIn-heavy professional networking
Dex syncs your LinkedIn connections, email and messaging, and keeps everything in a cloud account you can reach from iPhone, Android, the web, Mac and Windows. It's the strongest pick here if your network lives on LinkedIn. Pricing: from about $12 a month after a 7-day trial. See Dex vs. betterpal.
6. Covve — best for business cards
Covve leads with business card scanning: scanned cards go into your address book, with notes, follow-up reminders and news about contacts' companies. It's on iPhone and Android. Pricing: card scanning is free; Pro is $9.99 a month billed yearly.
